11th Arrondissement is one of the trendiest places in Paris. The Place de la République is in the west of the district and is linked to the Place de la Bastille. To the east of the 11th is the grand tree-lined Boulevard Richard-Lenoir, with large markets and parks. The Place de la Bastille and the rue du Faubourg St Antoine are full of trendy cafés, restaurants, and exciting nightlife. The 11th also houses the Musée Édith Piaf, a private museum dedicated to singing legend Édith Piaf – the museum is open by appointment only.
