15th Arrondissement shares the Montparnasse district with the 6th and 14th arrondissements and is the most populous of all the Arrondissements. It is said that due to the heavy residential and up market nature of this area there is more of a chance of meeting an actual Parisian here. The 15th does not have the number or quality of historic buildings and galleries found in other parts of Paris but does have a major exhibition centre - (Porte de Versailles) which is the 4th largest in Europe with has millions of annual visitors. Scientists will be intrigued to visit the Musée Pasteur – dedicated to the great French chemist Louis Pasteur (December 27, 1822 – September 28, 1895). The 15th, the largest arrondissement of central Paris, remains heavily residential, up-market and quiet - not a great deal of obvious attractions for the traveller here. The Tour Montparnasse – the tallest skyscraper in Paris – and the neighbouring Gare Montparnasse are both located in the 15th arrondissement, at its border with the 14th.
