2nd Arrondissement is located on the right bank of the River Seine. It is home to the original Bourse (stock exchange) and a large number of financial headquarters, and the Opéra-Comique concert hall. The Bourse has now been replaced by Euronext NV, which combined the Paris, Amsterdam, Lisbon and Brussels exchanges in 2000 to form the 2nd biggest exchange in Europe, behind the London Stock Exchange. Alongside the financial buildings there are some significant historical attractions including the museum - La Bibliothèque Nationale de France, Place des Victoires, and Notre Dame des Victoires. Despite the 2nd Arrondissement being the smallest Arrondissement in area it is home to all of the functioning 19th-century glazed commercial arcades in Paris.
