Etihad Airways Flights from Tokyo Japan and other Japanese City Airports to Doha Europe and North America

Abu Dhabi International Airport (IATA: AUH, ICAO: OMAA) is located 38km southeast of central Abu Dhabi. It’s easy to find your way there, as all three main roads lead from the city centre to the airport. Abu Dhabi is one of the fastest growing airports in the world for passenger numbers. To cater for this increasing volume development work has started on a new passenger terminal, to be situated between the two runways and known as the Midfield Terminal. Upon completion in 2016, the Midfield Terminal will increase the airport’s passenger capacity to over 20 million per year, with future options to double this to a staggering 40 million. This project will provide a new home base for the UAE's national carrier, Etihad Airways, who will be main user of new air cargo facilities with a projected capacity of over two million tonnes of air freight per annum. The rapid growth of the 3 main airlines in the region - Etihad Airways, Emirates Airline, and Qatar Airways has placed pressure to expand the regional airports. Abu Dhabi International Airport, combined with Dubai and Doha, together make a formidable tri-hub for global air passengers and air cargo traffic, and it is predicted that these 3 airports will have a greater combined capacity than European leaders - Charles de Gaulle, Heathrow, and Frankfurt. Ground transportation is via public city bus, taxi, or hired car. Travel time to the city is approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Etihad Airways provides bus coaches between Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airport for Etihad customers. There are a number of hotels close to the hotel such as Park Rotana Hotel Abu Dhabi Airport - although many visitors will prefer to head off to the City Center and Corniche area for the plethora of 5 and 4 star accommodation there including - Hotel Al Wahda, Hilton Hotel, Jumeirah Hotel at Etihad Towers, Millennium Hotel, Officers Club, Jumeirah Hotel at Etihad Towers, Grand Millennium Hotel Al Wahda, Shangri La Hotel Qaryat Al Beri, and Sofitel Hotel Abu Dhabi Corniche.
