The Suvarnabhumi Airport, also known as (New) Bangkok International Airport (IATA: BKK, ICAO: VTBS) is the international airport serving Bangkok, Thailand. The airport is the main hub for Thai Airways International, Bangkok Airways and the secondary hub for China Airlines and one of a majors hub for Air India, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, EVA Air, Indian Airlines, Lufthansa and SriLankan Airlines. Designed by Murphy/Jahn Architects of Chicago USA, the airport has the world's tallest control tower (132.2 m), and is set to consolidate it’s status as the 4th busiest airport for passenger traffic in Asia. The Airport is near to the district of Bang Na, which is the home of the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), a major convention and exhibition centre in Bangkok. The centre hosts a number of notable events including the annual Bangkok International Motor Show. The hotels listed here are next to or within short shuttle journey to the airport.
