Cancun International Airport (IATA: CUN, ICAO: MMUN) is situated 15 miles (23 km) southwest of Cancun City and the main beach area. Cancun Airport Mexico's second busiest airport, after Mexico City International Airport, but the biggest in Mexico and Latin America for International passengers. The airport has 3 Terminals - T1 which handles USA charters, T2 handles domestic traffic, and T3 which handles the bulk of the international airline traffic from North America and Europe. A significant feature of the airport is that the two main runaways are 1,500m apart which allows them to be used simultaneously. Ground transport is provided by 2 companies which offer shuttle service and also private transfer. There is also a good bus service from the airport to both the ADO bus station in Cancun and to the one in Playa del Carmen.
