Chelsea is located in Central London and is bounded to the south by the River Thames. Surprisingly, Chelsea Football Club has its grounds at Stamford Bridge, in nearby Fulham, not Chelsea. To the north and northwest, Chelsea merges with Knightsbridge and South Kensington. Knightsbridge is well known as a home to many expensive shops, including the department stores Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Along with the expensive shops are some very wealthy areas of real estate with some of the highest property prices in the world. The prime addresses include Belgrave Square, Egerton Place, Lowndes Square, Wilton Crescent, Cadogan Square, Lennox Gardens and Hans Place. Notable residents past and present include Roman Abramovich, Charles Saatchi, Sir David Frost, Hugh Grant, Sean Connery, and Princess Diana. Knightsbridge is close to the areas of Belgravia, South Kensington, Mayfair, and Hyde Park. As befits this upmarket area area there are a number of 5 and 4 star luxury hotels such as The Halkin Hotel, Egerton House Hotel, The Tophams Hotel, and Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel. If your budget cannot stretch to a luxury hotel then try the 3 Star Grosvenor Hotel.

Knightsbridge - wikipedia

The Knightsbridge district comprises the areas immediately surrounding Knightsbridge (the road) on the north, Sloane Street to its junction with Pont Street, and Brompton Road to its junction with Beauchamp Place. The district is notable as an ultra-expensive residential area, and for the density of its upmarket retail outlets, famously Harrods and Harvey Nichols.
