Disneyland Paris is a large holiday and recreational resort located in the new town of Marne-la-Vallée 20 miles east of the centre of Paris. The resort opened in 1992 and now comprises - two theme parks, a retail, dining and entertainment district, and seven Disney-owned hotels. Originally named Euro Disney Resort the complex was renamed in 1995 to Disneyland Paris, a date which also coincided with the its first quarterly profit. A new second park was opened in 2002 which brought the total visitor number to over 15 million in 2009 which established Disneyland Paris as the most visited site in Europe. To accommodate this huge number of visitors improvements to transport infrastructure were made which included a new high speed line - LGV Est and enhance Eurostar services. Dedicate resort hotels have also been built within the complex and close by including - Magic Circus At Disneyland® Paris Hotel, Dream Castle Hotel, L'Elysee Val D'Europe At Disneyland Hotel, and Residhome Prestige Val d'Europe.
