Don Muang or Don Mueang "town on the hill", is one of the main districts of Bangkok. It is bordered by: Amphoe Mueang and Amphoe Lam Luk Ka of Pathum Thani Province; Sai Mai, Bang Khen and Lak Si of Bangkok; and Amphoe Pak Kret of Nonthaburi Province. The district is the site of Don Mueang International Airport (now superceded by Suvarnabhumi Airport),Don Muang Royal Thai Air Force Base and the Royal Thai Air Force Museum. The airport is currently closed for commercial flights but this may be reviewed due to the congestion being experienced at Suvarnabhumi. Charter flights will still remain and there are plans to develop exhibition space and government offices at the unused terminals. A more ambitious plan is to build a US Open-standard tennis court.
