Travel Tip July 08
When checking in, pick up the hotel's business card. In the most confusing of cities, the cards often come with a little map to get you home if you get lost.

Gelsenkirchen Hotels Reservation including – Maritim Hotel Gelsenkirchen Intercity Hotel AufSchalke Arena Hotels.

FC Schalke 04

FC Schalke 04 is almost one-hundred years old - and in during this time it has probably experienced more triumphs and tragedies than most other Bundesliga clubs or even most German sports clubs put together. There can hardly be another club that has experienced such vastly differing emotions, hardly any other club that has undertaken such a roller-coaster ride between glorious success and the verge of obscurity. But this may be the very reason why Schalke fans are so loyal to their club and have such a strong sense of tradition.

Gelsenkirchen - Official City Site

Gelsenkirchen combines the appeal of the Ruhr with a charm all of its own - so set off on a voyage of discovery and prepare for one or two interesting surprises. Many of the town's trademark features are just a couple of minutes' walk from the centre, so you're never more than a few steps away from surroundings which are impressive because they're so unique, or from scenery which brings abstract ideas like structural change and the history of industry unexpectedly to life.
