Grenada is an island nation in the south eastern Caribbean and is situated north of Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela, and south of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Grenada is a Commonwealth Realm, Queen Elizabeth II is Queen of Grenada and Head of State. The island Grenada itself is the largest island; the smaller Grenadines are Carriacou, Petit Martinique, Ronde Island, Caille Island, Diamond Island, Large Island, Saline Island and Frigate Island. The islands are originally volcanic which has produced very rich soils. This has led to Grenada producing some exotic tropical plants, indeed it is called The Spice Isle as it produces - cinnamon, cloves, ginger, mace, allspice, orange/citrus peels, wild coffee used by the locals, and especially nutmeg. Surprisingly, Grenada produces 20% of the world supply of nutmeg. Grenada is very popular with tourists and a highlight attraction the 3 km long Grand Anse Beach in St George's which is regarded as one of the finest beaches in the world, and often appears in the world’s top 10 beaches list.

Grenada is an island nation in the southeastern Caribbean Sea including the southern Grenadines.
