Guangzhou BaiyunInternational Airport (IATA: CAN, ICAO: ZGGG) is located kilometers (17 miles) from downtown Guangzhou. The name "Baiyun" means "white cloud" in Chinese, and refers to Mt. Baiyun which is near the location of the former smaller airport. The airport is 2nd busiest on mainland China for passenger traffic, with over 30 million per year. Transfers to central Guangzhou and beyond can be done by public bus, shuttle bus, and taxi. There are are nine shuttle bus lines and taxi rental services are available within the terminal hall, 24 hours a day. There are a number of hotels close to the airport including: Holiday Garden Hotel, Huen Come Residence Hotel, Green Lake Resort, and Chiangmai Hill 2000 Hotel. The Pullman Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is a five-star hotel located next to the airport terminal. The hotel offers 460 guestrooms, an Executive Lounge, and conference facilities with Wi-Fi access throughout.
