Hors d'œuvre - wikipedia
Hors d'œuvre, (French plural: hors d'œuvre, without an extra s; English plural often hors d'œuvres), also known as appetizer(s) are the food served before or outside of (French: hors de) the main courses of a meal (œuvre, literally “work”). For a one-hour period prior to a meal, three or four passed hors d'oeuvres per person are appropriate. This combination might, for example, include a hot seafood item, a cold vegetarian item, a hot poultry item and a cold proscuitto item. A station with crudite (vegetables) fruit and cheese would also suffice.

| Travel Quote: The traveller was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes "sight-seeing". Daniel J. Boorstin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
