Mandalay Bay Resort. A 39-storey 5 star hotel casino on the famed Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mandalay Bay has 3,309 hotel rooms and a casino of 135,000 ft² (13,000 m²). Attached to the resort are The Mandalay Bay Convention Center and the Mandalay Bay Events Center, which regularly hosts events including boxing, and concerts. The Mandalay has a distinctive Asian theme (the name derives from Rudyard Kipling's poem Mandalay), and features the Shark Reef, a saltwater aquarium containing over a million gallons of water. Another popular attraction is the House of Blues, a live music venue and restaurant, with a capacity of 1,800. The top floor of the hotel is home to the House of Blues Foundation Room, featuring a dining room, private dining rooms, and a viewing balcony looking down the Las Vegas Strip.
