Mexico is a country within the continent of North America and lies between the USA to the north and Guatemala to the south. The country has an expansive coastline with the Pacific Ocean to the west and the Caribbean to the east. The country is divided into 6 broad regions - Baja California (The western peninsula, which borders the U.S. state of California), Northern Mexico (Includes the expansive deserts and mountains of the border states), The Bajio (Traditional silver-mines region), Central Mexico (Centered around the capital city), Pacific Coast (Famous tropical beaches on the south coast), Yucatan Peninsula (Thick jungle with Mayan archaeological sites). Major cities include – Mexico City (One of the largest cities in the world), Acapulco (Famous for the daredevil cliff divers), Cancun (Very popular Caribbean beach resort), Guadalajara (Traditional city with colonial downtown), Monterrey (Commercial hub of Northern Mexico), and Tijuana (Mexico's busiest border with the USA).
