Mexico City International Airport (IATA: MEX, ICAO: MMMX) is situated 8 miles (13 km) to the east of Mexico City Center. The airport is the busiest in Mexico and in 2009 was the busiest in Latin America, although it has been surpassed by Guarulhos Airport in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Mexico International is the principal hub for Mexico's largest airline Aeroméxico and a secondary hub for Aeroméxico Connect. It is also a hub for Interjet and a focus city for VivaAerobus. The airport packs all this activity into two main terminals 1 and 2 and two principal runways. To cope with increasing demand, in recent years Toluca airport has become an alternative airport. Ground transport connections to Mexico City Centre are served by the Terminal Aérea Metro station, located just outside the national terminal; it also has a Bus Terminal, which is served by various bus lines with sub routes to Cuernavaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Toluca, Pachuca, and Córdoba.
