Montreal Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport (IATA: YUL, ICAO: CYUL) is situated on the Island of Montreal, 20 km (12 miles) from Montreal's downtown centre. The airport is named in honour of former Canadian Prime Minister, the late Right Honourable Pierre Elliott Trudeau. Trudeau Airport is currently the third busiest airport in Canada by passenger traffic and fourth busiest by aircraft movements. The importance of the airport is reflected with it's status as the headquarters and large Hub for Air Canada, the country's largest airline, charter airlines, Air Inuit, Air Transat and Sunwing Airlines. Ground transportation is largely served by The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) which currently has three regular bus routes serving Trudeau International Airport, including route "204 Cardinal" seven days a week, route "209 Sources" Monday to Friday, and route "356 Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue" night bus. A Rail shuttle from Trudeau Airport to downtown Montreal is planned to be completed between 2013 and 2015. For passengers with an early departure time or who are on looking for business meeting accommodation near the airport there are some hotels nearby including Aloft Montreal Airport Hotel, Novotel Montreal Aeroport Hotel, and Quality Suites Montreal Airport Hotel.

Travel Quote: The traveller was active; he went strenuously in search of people, of adventure, of experience. The tourist is passive; he expects interesting things to happen to him. He goes "sight-seeing". Daniel J. Boorstin.
