Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (IATA: PHX, ICAO: KPHX, FAA LID: PHX) is the busiest airport in the state of Arizona and is situated 3 miles (4.8 km) southeast of the central business district CBD of the city of Phoenix. The airport has 3 terminals – 2, 3, and 4. The original Terminal T1 was removed in 1990 and replaced with a cell phone waiting lot. The airport also serves as a military facility and is home to Sky Harbor Air National Guard Base and its host wing, the 161st Air Refueling Wing (161 ARW), an Air Mobility Command (AMC)-gained unit of the Arizona Air National Guard. Ground transportation is mainly provided by the Valley Metro routes 13, 15 and 40 which serve the airport. Terminal to Terminal transport will be provided by the Sky Harbor Airport Automated People Mover.
