Sulawesi (formerly more commonly known as Celebes is one of the four larger Sunda Islands of Indonesia lying between Kalimantan and Maluku. Sulawesi's main port of entry is Makassar, which has frequent flights throughout the archipelago. Manado acts as a secondary hub, with some direct flights to Singapore and some interesting connections eastward to Halmahera and Papua.
