ZERO ENTRY POOL - A swimming pool with a section that slopes from water level downwards, allowing people to wade into the pool. Sometimes, the edge of this section will be covered with sand, much like a seaside beach.
A zero-entry swimming pool or beach entry swimming pool is a swimming pool with the increasingly common child-friendly feature of having a shallow sloping entrance, rather than steps or a ladder. Swimmers or waders enter into a half-inch of water, which gradually deepens as one progresses farther into the pool.
